At StriderDCT, we recognize that clinical trials are far more than a collection of protocols, datasets, and timelines—they are fundamentally about the people they’re designed to serve. In line with this philosophy, our Co‑founder, Vijay Rajan, recently took part in the PACER Roundtable, hosted by APAR Health and CanKids Kidscan.

The event was more than just a gathering of professionals. It was a powerful reminder for us to revive the objective of clinical research— to serve patients.

What the PACER Roundtable Was All About

A vibrant gathering of patient advocates, clinical research professionals, and media representatives explored ways to make clinical trials in India more accessible, inclusive, and patient‑centric. Discussions focused on the following key themes that align with StriderDCT’s vision:

  • Building public awareness and trust in clinical research
  • Simplifying trial participation while ensuring safety and transparency
  • Improving access through better use of platforms like CTRI
  • Empowering patients to report safety concerns via PVPI

A Powerful Moment of Patient Voice

One unforgettable moment came when childhood cancer survivors from CanKids KidsCan performed a street play (Nukkad Natak). Through their personal stories, they reminded us why patient participation in trials matters and that patient engagement is not just a regulatory box to tick but the heart of meaningful research.

Why StriderDCT Values Events Like PACER

For us, this roundtable wasn’t just another meeting; it was a reaffirmation of our purpose:

  • Listening to Real Voices: Patient advocates share insights that go beyond reports and metrics.
  • Working for Systemic Change: Real transformation comes when we work together across the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Keeping Humanity at the Core: Even as we build tech-driven solutions, we never lose sight of the person behind the protocol.
  • Fostering Collaboration: Partnerships born from shared values can accelerate progress for all.

How can we translate These Insights into Action?

  • Co‑Creating Protocols: Partner with patient advocacy groups at the earliest design stage to align study procedures with real‑world patient needs, minimizing unnecessary complexity and travel.
  • Empathy‑Driven Technology: Our decentralized trial solutions (ePRO, eConsent, telemedicine) are built to enhance participant convenience without sacrificing data integrity or safety.
  • Ongoing Collaboration: Maintain open channels with advocacy groups, policy makers, and ethics committees to iterate and improve our processes continuously.
  • Community Education: Through webinars, local workshops, and digital content, we aim to empower patients with knowledge about trial opportunities, their rights, and reporting pathways.

Looking Ahead: Research That Belongs to the People

The PACER roundtable reinforced our belief that clinical research must be owned by the communities it aims to serve.

At StriderDCT, we are not just decentralizing trials — we are re-centering them around the patient. Our goal is to ensure that clinical research in India evolves into a truly patient‑first endeavor, where communities are not just informed but genuinely engaged in shaping the future of healthcare.

Join us in making clinical trials more than just scientific exercises—let’s make them a source of hope, trust, and real‐world impact.
